In the beginning… God commanded us to care for the Earth
Today, the need for wise stewardship of natural resources may be greater than ever before. Huntington University recognizes the importance of caring for God’s creation and has courses and practical learning opportunities designed to equip you to do just that.
Whether you’re interested in conservation, wildlife biology, agriculture, public health, or civil service, HU combines classroom studies and field experiences, placing emphasis on natural sciences, liberal arts, and Christian faith, to prepare you for leadership in environmental stewardship and sustainability.
“HU is by far the greatest decision I have made. The biology program is very thorough and taught extremely well. I feel that I will be prepared for my future plans.”
“Always be willing to discard old ideas that have been shown not to be true. It is too easy to hold on to what you have learned when more recent research suggests something else is more likely to be true.”
Environmental Science Curriculum
With high-tech equipment and well-stocked labs, your classes will be taught by exceptional professors who will challenge you to think critically, work diligently, and integrate faith with your studies. From field-based classes in northern Michigan, the Pacific Northwest, and Costa Rica, to practical experience in HU’s own backyard, you’ll find refreshing, hands-on learning opportunities to hone your skills.
