Frequently Asked Questions
How do I access my Slingshot Account?
- Visit huntington.slingshotedu.com
- Click the Log In button in the top right corner of the home screen
- All registered students already have an account - use your student login for your institution or your full student email address and student ID as the password.
- View or adjust your course material subscription preference selection under the "My Account" tab – You can also update your shipping preference to ensure books are delivered exactly where you would prefer.
- No need to place an order! If you opt-in on the My Account page, we’ll automatically handle everything and deliver to your campus residence or ship all required course materials right to you before your class start date.

How do I log into the campus store website?
After clicking the Campus Gear Store link, click on the 'Log In' link at the top right of this page. You already have an account. Your account is your student login for your email. If for any reason this is not working, click on the “Forgot Password” link and follow the prompts.
How do I track a book shipment?
After having logged into this website, navigate to the “Transaction History” tab.
Click the drop-down arrow to the left of the transaction to see the details of the transaction, which includes a tracking number if the item was shipped.
How do I return a rental book at the end of a course?
If you originally picked up your items from the campus store or had them delivered to on-campus housing, return them to the campus store for processing. If your rental books were originally shipped to you, we will provide a return shipping label to ship your rental books back to us from within the Continental United States for free. Just log in to your account on this website, find the outstanding rental books you’d like to return from the “My Course Materials” tab, and click “Return”. The on-screen prompt will help you print out your label.
How do I return course materials that I don't need?
Contact the Campus Store, or Customer Support in order to provide return authorization. Course materials have specific return policies dependent upon the method by which they were obtained, as well as if they are digital or physical, and whether or not you are still enrolled in the class.
How do I contact you if I have other questions?
Feel free to stop by the Campus Store or call during the posted hours of operation. Additionally, our Customer Support team has a variety of channels available to you 7 days a week. Please visit www.slingshotedu.com/support to reach out.
Obtaining Course Materials
How are course materials provided? Am I signed up for Slingshot automatically?
At your school, all students are opted in to Slingshot when they start their program with a preference for rental books set as the default. You will stay opted in for future terms unless you choose to opt out. Any student can opt out or return unneeded books, but we can’t guarantee we will have books for students that are opted out. Students that have opted out can still place online orders from this website or the Campus Store.
What options do I have for course material type? Will I always get my preference?
On the My Account page of this website, you can set a course material preference (Rent, Digital, New, or Used). Usually, we can provide your selected preference, however, in the event that your preferred type isn’t available we will automatically substitute.
How are course materials delivered?
By default, students that live on campus will have their initial order of physical materials delivered to your campus residence. Any materials that arrive after that initial delivery can be picked up in the Campus Store. If you live off campus, all of your materials can be picked up in the Campus Store. You’ll receive an email when your items are ready to pick up. If you want to receive your books in another way, you can choose a shipping preference of either Pickup or Mail on the My Account page of this website. All students will receive emails notifying you about any digital course materials you may have received.
What if an item is missing from my package?
Check the packing list and see if it indicates items may be arriving in separate packages, or digitally. To view details about your specific course materials, login to your Slingshot account by clicking Login above. If you are missing an item that shows it was included in this same package, visit the Campus Store or contact Customer Support for assistance as soon as possible.
What if I ADD a course?
If you add a course, we will automatically receive your enrollment information and process a new order for any materials that you need. An email notification will be sent as soon as the item(s) is available.
What if I DROP a course?
Digital materials are automatically returned for you. For physical materials, you have up to 7 days after the semester start date, or before the end of the institution's drop/add period, to receive a 100% refund, confirmed by your no longer having enrollment passed to Slingshot or providing evidence of the drop.
If I received a damaged book, what should I do?
We use a system to track slightly damaged books. If you are unhappy with the condition of your book visit the Campus Store or contact Customer Support as soon as possible. We will attempt to provide a replacement item or mark the book as damaged in our systems. Marking a book as damaged prevents an additional charge when the title is returned. If you return a book at the end of the course that is damaged, and it does not bear the proper damaged markings, you will be charged for the cost of the book.
What is Slingshot's return policy?
Any item provided through Slingshot may be returned during the first week of class without penalty. Some digital restrictions apply; see Digital Course Materials section below.
Does Slingshot operate during the summer?
It does not. Even if you've opted into the Slingshot program during fall and spring semesters, you will need to specifically purchase your books from this website for any summer courses.
Digital Course Materials
How do I access digital items?
Digital materials can be accessed through this website under the My Course Materials page after logging in. Once a digital item is available, you will receive an email notification, which may come after a physical shipment has gone out. Additional digital items could be accessible directly in the course LMS.
What is a digital expiration date?
Digital items vary in regard to the license duration. Some will have an expiration date (viewable under “My Course Materials”) while others have a lifetime license. If there is an expiration date, that item will no longer be accessible after the expiration date. If you need the same item again, all notations you make will still be present, but it can only be accessed while you have an active license for the material.
What if I need to return a digital item?
Digital items fall outside normal return and refund policies, as publishers have different policies on digital. Digital items are refundable within 14 days of the first day of access, or thirty (30) days after the purchase is made, whichever occurs first. Some digital materials have shorter return windows designated by their publishers. Additionally, we cannot fulfill refund requests if more than 10% of the product has been viewed and/or if any page(s) of the product has been printed. We recommend contacting the Campus Store or Customer Support as soon as possible if you need to return a digital item.
