Biology

Biology Education
As a biology education major, you will receive rigorous training in modern biology while gaining comprehensive experience in a series of courses, field experiences, and extensive classroom experience.
Biology Pre-Med
As a pre-med biology major at Huntington University, you’ll have opportunities which are not available at larger universities. Importantly, your classes here will not be taught by “graduate assistants,” but rather by exceptionally credentialed full-time professors.
Environmental Science
As an environmental science student at Huntington University, you will have the opportunity to combine classroom study with field observation. You will learn to integrate studies in the natural sciences, the liberal arts, and the Christian faith to prepare for leadership in earth-keeping.
Forensic Science
If you’re considering pursuing a career in criminal justice or crime labs, studying forensic science is a strategic and solid choice of study. A forensic scientist is a critical component in upholding the law, as scientists can help lawyers, juries, and judges understand test results that may contribute to evidence discovery. As a future forensic scientist, you will perform on-site analysis, gather evidence, and use in-lab and field experience to assist and back your findings.

Pre-Vet
If you are considering a pre-veterinary degree, you likely have a desire to attend graduate school and work in the animal health field. HU’s program combines strengths in agriculture and biology while giving you real-world experience and an exceptional classroom education. You’ll benefit from our outstanding pre-med track record and work with livestock to obtain rigorous scientific training, all at the same time!
