Two HU Icons Recognized by NACCAP
Two of Huntington University’s enrollment staff have been recognized by the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals Inc. (NACCAP) for their commitment to recruiting students to the institution. Katie Martin and Carlene Peters were recognized by NACCAP at its annual conference at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Martin, senior admissions counselor, has been with Huntington University for three years. She received NACCAP’s Regional Service Award. The award goes to one whose effort toward advancing enrollment in Christian higher education is recognized by students, peers and the coalition.
“I honestly was so surprised and honored to receive this award,” Martin said. “I strongly believe in the value of Christian higher education and consider it a privilege to share that benefit with perspective students. I am grateful for the life changing environment and the quality of education that HU provided for me, and I am blessed to be in a position where I get to introduce this place to incoming students alongside the rest of our admissions team.”
NACCAP’s Outstanding Achievement Award was given to Peters, campus visit coordinator. Peters has been with Huntington University for 30 years. She was recognized for her exemplary service to students and the institution, as well as her outstanding contribution to the advancement of Christ-centered education.
“Since one is given every year, it was quite a surprise and honor to receive it and be honored by fellow peers in this way,” Peters said.
NACCAP is a Christian professional organization serving some 360 Christian colleges and universities, graduate schools, seminaries and Christian secondary schools members across all of North America.
