Do you desire to help children and their families come to know the God who loves them and become life-long followers of Jesus? By choosing the Children’s Ministry major at HU, you will be taking your next step to fulfill God’s call on your life. We will equip you with the ministry skills and Bible knowledge to help you lead children and families deeper in their relationships with God and each other. Our Children’s Ministry graduates serve in churches, camps, Christian schools, mission organizations and with Christian publishing companies.

Children’s Ministry Curriculum

You will learn about child development, evangelism and discipleship, teaching, curriculum development and leadership and will acquire skills that will prepare you to lead children into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Your Bible and theology classes will provide you with a comprehensive knowledge of God’s word, which is the foundation of all Christian ministry. The student life and spiritual formation programs on campus will help you become a mature disciple of Jesus, ready to model the love of Christ to children and adults. During the summer and fall of your senior year, you will immerse yourself in full-time children’s ministry through your PRIME experience (Practical Research and Immersion for Ministry Effectiveness).
