Tuck Everlasting: The Musical
Winnie Foster has lived her whole life under the strict authority of her mom. According to Winnie, she isn’t allowed to have any fun even though she’s a good girl. One day, she decides to go into her woods for the first time. While in the woods, she meets the Tuck family. What Winnie doesn’t know is that the Tucks are immortal.

My Favorite Class Project of 2022-2023
Despite aspiring to specialize in 2D character animation, I think the project I enjoyed most in 2022-2023 was all about animating text. The project was called “kinetic typography.” We had to take an audio clip and create subtitles that would appear and move to complement the dialogue.

October in the MCA offers a bit of something for everyone. A band concert, senior showcases, and a guest lecture will headline our Zurcher Auditorium and Longaker Recital Hall stages. Plus, Terry Pulley’s exhibition of paintings will be on display all month in the Robert E. Wilson Art Gallery.

An Animation Major’s Self-Indulgence
For as long as I can remember, I have always been an art kid. Any unimportant paper to come near me would most likely be snatched for future doodling. At some point, however, I wanted to do more with my art. I wanted to tell stories. I do occasionally work on comics, but those lack something else I wanted to incorporate — movement, and that is where my interest in animation started.

Before the school year began, I was racked with uncertainty about the workload and how well I could keep up. Additionally, I wondered how I would manage to balance my schoolwork, social life, mental health, etc. Nevertheless, my first semester went surprisingly smoothly.
