Seven Huntington University undergraduate students and two employees, together with a team of students and staff from Mississippi State University and staff from the M4 Institute, traveled to Momostenango, Guatemala, in May to complete several agriculture-focused projects.

HU’s Hort Club is a special interest group on campus that celebrates God’s creation through plant cultivation and beekeeping. As Foresters, we want to steward the Earth. Tenderly upkeeping the campus orchard, garden, greenhouse, woods, and bee hives, the Hort Club truly embodies HU’s mission of service.

Three science-focused camps featured hands-on lab experiences, field trips, and an introduction to college-level science study and college life. And this was only the beginning.
