URBAN STUDIES MINOR

Make a difference in your city

Pursuing an Urban Studies minor in addition to your major at Huntington University equips you with a strong foundation of knowledge on cities and the issues they face. It pairs well with a major in Sociology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Social Work, and other programs. There is freedom to choose from a wide range of courses in order to tailor the minor to your own specific interest. This interdisciplinary minor complements a career in a variety of fields and provides the opportunity to learn from several departments.

Urban Studies Curriculum

The urban studies minor at Huntington University is unique in the sense that you may choose from a wide range of courses once you’ve completed the four basic core courses. You will gain exposure to a variety of professors and students that span majors and disciplines, bringing in a well-rounded perspective as you learn and are challenged to think outside the box. Class sizes will be small, giving you ample opportunity for interaction and involvement with your fellow students. 


While certain courses have prerequisites, there are no special requirements to add this major to your degree.
