Winnie Foster has lived her whole life under the strict authority of her mom. According to Winnie, she isn’t allowed to have any fun even though she’s a good girl. One day, she decides to go into her woods for the first time. While in the woods, she meets the Tuck family. What Winnie doesn’t know is that the Tucks are immortal.

Last year, a few students from the Department of Digital Media Arts (DMA) and I had this idea for a series of organized meetings where people could share art and concepts, receive feedback and suggestions, etc. Unfortunately, that idea sort of drifted to the back of the filing cabinet.

Professor Jay LeBlanc had already been a close family friend for years now. However, last chapel, I got curious about his involvement with Joyful Noise, Huntington University’s student worship band. So, this past week I asked Jay if I could informally interview him about his experience as head of Joyful Noise.

Taking this opportunity has given me so much positive learning with hands-on experience, and I am forever grateful to be able to have this opportunity to learn while helping the long-term future of the conservation of our land. It meant a lot to me, personally, and I hope I can be able to contribute more in the future towards practices like my internship.

RichLyn Library is a vital resource for academic success at Huntington University. When I asked several of my peers what the first word that came into their mind was when they heard the word “library,” many of them said “books.” While this response is accurate, the Library has much more to offer the students at HU, and that often goes unnoticed.
