The professors I have right now are very open and nice. They will help you with whatever you need, not only academically but I can also talk to them about my life.
For me it was important to find a really good community here, especially when you have those cultural shocks that can happen on arrival. Since my freshman year, it helps to have a better experience when maybe it's your first time being away from home or being far from parents and friends for a long period of time.
I think socializing is very important for personal development that you need to get to know new cultures and new people, different kinds of people. I think that's a very important aspect, and being on a small campus gave me that. My favorite spot on campus is the HUB because you can socialize and meet people and meet friends there.
I visited a lot of other colleges, but then I saw the community here when I visited, and I knew they had a really good film program. The film program allows you to put your hands on a camera to make movies for each year.
I transferred after hearing from the Tennis Team. I had a good connection with the tennis coach. For me, Huntington University has been a place to grow as an athlete and as a person.
One of my favorite classes so far is Interpersonal Relationships class. This is a psychology class, but a lot of other students took it because of how helpful it is. The things we learned in this class and the activities we did really help us to reflect on ourselves and the relationships we have. I really appreciate everything I learned in this class.

Meet the International Admissions Team
Stacie Harvey joined the Huntington University Admissions team in 2023 and brings a deep commitment to supporting prospective students as they align their academic pursuits with faith and calling.
Stacie holds two undergraduate degrees in Intercultural Studies and Urban Ministry, as well as a Masters in Organizational Leadership. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, especially her adorable nephews. Stacie also supports teen mothers by serving on the committee of YoungLives Fort Wayne. A few of her favorite things to do include hiking, photography, checking out new food spots, and painting.
Hello everyone, my name is Mateo Ameller, I am from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I am happy to be assisting you as the International Admission Counselor. I little bit about me is that I am a Huntington graduate class of 2023. I came to Huntington to play tennis. I am a determined and passionate person, I like to play video games, watch soccer (strong Barcelona Fan) and I enjoy cooking. During my time at Huntington, I have developed a passion and care for international students at HU. I started volunteering as the President of International Students on campus, which later on turned into my current position in the admissions office. Welcome to HU!
