Free Peer Tutoring
The Academic Center for Excellence staff coordinates free peer tutoring by appointment with trained peer tutors in a wide variety of courses. These services are provided for both full-time and part-time students. Tutoring is typically provided in small groups at a specific time once a week. However, there is room for flexibility to meet students’ needs. Tutoring may also be available for standardized tests such as CLEP, Accuplacer, and CASA.
The ACE staff is comprised of staff who are dedicated to student success in their academic career. The Academic Center for Excellence Director provides individualized assistance to students in evaluating and improving study habits and skills such as time management and test-taking.
International Tutors
ACE also offers international tutors for our international student population. These tutors will assist with any academic needs specifically related to navigating their courses and adjusting to the language. Overall, the tutors are committed to helping international students adapt to college life in the United States.
