Statement from Huntington University

On Tuesday, August 7, Vince Haupert resigned his position as Vice President of Advancement, effective immediately. University faculty and staff were informed of the resignation, and senior leadership met with faculty and staff to begin to work through the resulting transition in the Advancement Office. On August 24, the Huntington County Prosecutor’s Office filed misdemeanor battery charges against Mr. Haupert.

Out of respect for the individuals involved and the law enforcement process, the University’s public comments about this matter will continue to be limited. Huntington University remains committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and respectful learning environment for all students, faculty, and staff as together we continue to uphold our calling to Christ, scholarship, and service.
