Carroll student named Best of Show in HU’s High School Art Exhibit

HUNTINGTON, Ind. The 7th Annual Huntington University High School Art Exhibit was the largest showing yet with 14 schools represented and 109 works submitted.

This year, Kaylee Hoffman of Carroll High School, Fort Wayne, Ind., walked away with Best of Show for her piece titled, "Letters to My Dead Mother. The Woman I Chose to Leave. The Woman Who Deserved Nothing Less."

The exhibit is now open in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery on campus and runs until March 8.

The awards reception was held March 3.

The Wilson Gallery, located in the Merillat Centre for the Arts, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., before and after all MCA performances and by appointment.

The gallery is free and open to the public.
