With more than 25 years of planned giving and fundraising experience, Steve Thomas leads Huntington University’s legacy and estate planning program in the Office of Advancement. Prior to his years in philanthropy, Steve practiced law, focusing in the areas of estate and business planning. The majority of Steve’s career has been in higher education; he has directed planned giving programs for the Ball State University Foundation, Manchester University, and DePauw University. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from Ball State University and his law degree from Indiana University.
As a married father of five, Steve tries to find time for his other passions as a motorcycle enthusiast and avid golfer, although he admits his golf game could use some help. What most excites Steve as a member of HU’s advancement team is the blessing to partner with alumni and friends as they express their love of Christ through charitable giving.
