Eric Andrews joined the Office of University Relations in 2024 as the content writer and moved into his current position as the coordinator of university communications at the start of 2025. In this role, Eric uses his background in journalism and public relations to strategize, generate, and revise content for Huntington University, including the Huntington University Magazine, internal and external promotional materials and resources, HU’s social media pages, and the HU website and blog. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sports management and a minor in public relations from Taylor University. One of Eric’s main college highlights was serving as the editor in chief of Taylor’s student newspaper during his senior year.

Originally from Wheaton, Illinois, Eric lives in Huntington with his wife, Becca, a fellow Taylor grad. Eric is an avid sports fan, with hockey and lacrosse being his favorites, both of which he played growing up. Eric is a longtime hockey card collector and co-hosts a well-known hockey card podcast. In his free time, Eric enjoys using his journalism background as the director of content and copy chief for a hockey news site that covers the Chicago Blackhawks. Eric also has a passion for Israel, having traveled to the Holy Land on four occasions in various capacities, once as a tourist, twice as a student, and once as a tour leader. Both self-proclaimed foodies, Eric and his wife are members of The Well.
