Dr. Khadijah Johnson, OTD, OTR/L, has over 10 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist. Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate degree in social and behavioral sciences with a concentration in psychology from Seton Hall University and her Masters of Science in  Occupational Therapy degree from Kean University in New Jersey. She has worked in various pediatric settings including early intervention, outpatient therapy, and school-based settings. She has experience developing feeding and sensory groups as well as designing a sensory modulation room in the school setting. With a continued interest in mental health and wellness, Dr. Johnson’s practice shifted to women’s health. She opened her own private practice which focused on holistic pelvic health and maternal mental health. Dr. Johnson completed her post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Towson University in Maryland. Her doctoral capstone focused on the development of a program addressing physical and mental wellness as well as life skills for homeless and/or abused pregnant women at a Christian-based shelter. 

Dr. Johnson’s clinical and research interests are in mental health, maternal health, pelvic health, and community-based services. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and is currently working on obtaining her Certification in Perinatal Mental Health. She has extensive experience developing occupation-based groups for the perinatal population. Dr. Johnson, sat on the Texas Chapter of Postpartum International’s Board as Vice President and is currently a 1-Year Board Member for the Arizona Occupational Therapy Association.
