New Student Advising Day
It’s time to meet with your academic advisor to finalize registration for your first semester of HU classes! Join us on home campus to make adjustments to your first semester schedule with a faculty advisor, meet with financial aid and billing, answer any questions you might have, scout out your potential future residence hall, and take care of a few other details. Attending in-person is optional.
This event will begin mid-morning and will conclude by early afternoon. A more detailed schedule is coming soon.

Saturday • May 13, 2023
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. HU Bookstore and Forest Blend Open (HUB)
Financial Aid and Billing Sessions Available (MCA Welcome Center)
Individual appointments are available with Office of Financial Aid or Office of Business and
Finance staff to discuss scholarships, loans, and payment plans. There is also time to grab a
Starbucks coffee from Forest Blend and some swag from the HU Bookstore.
9:00-10:00 a.m. Check-In (Merillat Centre for the Arts)
Receive your new student folder and advising day information. Feel free to visit information tables
before the Welcome Session begins.
10:00-10:50 a.m. Welcome Session (Zurcher Auditorium)
Join us for a warm welcome to the Forester Family with worship and a greeting from President
Sherilyn Emberton.
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Faculty Meetings (Various locations)
Students meet with faculty from their academic department to make schedule adjustments, ask
questions, and meet other incoming students. Students who are planning to double major or minor in
a different academic area meet with their primary major during this time.
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Parent Session (Zurcher Auditorium)
While students are meeting with faculty, parents learn how to help their student find success at
Huntington University.
12:00-2:00 p.m. Forester Festival (HUB/Mall)
There are fun festivities, an opportunity to explore residence halls, and information tables
available to connect with during the Forester Festival. During this time there are also several
chances to win prizes. Lunch is available for purchase from food trucks on campus.
