Take It from Me, Roush Third is Pretty Great
Are you a female student trying to decide which residence hall you want to move into next year? Well, as a resident of Roush third, I can give you my completely unbiased opinion about why the third floor of Roush Hall is the best.
First of all, Roush Hall is the closest building to the Quad, where most classes happen. So if you forget something in your room or need to rush to a class, that is less distance for you to walk. Roush Hall is also right in front of the mailboxes and the closest residence hall to the Mailroom, making picking up your mail just a little more convenient. Second, the rooms are suite-style, so you share a bathroom with only three other people, meaning you have more room to store your bathroom belongings only a few steps away. Third, the ground-floor lounge is huge, with a foosball table, a pool table, and a separate area with a TV. Sure, the lounge is open for everyone to use and enjoy, but non-residents of Roush Hall are less likely to pass through anyway.
Now, Roush third in particular just has a nice aesthetic. The lounge mentioned earlier is shared with Baker Hall. Roush itself has a lounge in the middle of each floor. All the lounges are technically the same, but the third floor is the only one with outdoor windows in the form of a skylight. The top floor also naturally comes with the best view, and no one will be making noise on the floor above. Sure, it is not as convenient to access, but there is an elevator. Besides, I personally see taking the stairs as a way to implement a little more cardio into my daily routine.
All joking aside, I genuinely love the community on Roush third, but every residence hall has something to offer. If you are currently figuring out where on campus you want to live, you can learn more at huntington.edu/Residence-Life.
