5 More HU Webpages You Should Bookmark Right Now
I’m back again with more HU webpages you should bookmark in your web browser of choice! This time, we will focus on resources that will enrich your well-being while you are a student.
This is by no means a complete list of all of the resources we offer at Huntington University. However, these are some of the resources you likely will return to repeatedly in the semesters to come. You can save yourself time and hassle by being aware of them now and saving them in a place that will be easy to find later.
To be honest, including the Student Resources webpage on this list might be cheating a little bit. This single page of the website is actually a gateway to many other resources: the Academic Center for Excellence, career counseling, personal counseling, the Office of Business and Finance…the list goes on. Save this page to your bookmarks, then come back to it when you have a question that needs answered or you need to find one of the offices on home campus. This page will be a centralized starting point that helps you learn more.
I could elaborate on the value of RichLyn Library and why it is an essential resource for you, whether you visit the Library online or in person, but our fellow Forester Annie has already done that in this excellent blog post. All I will add is that RichLyn Library should be one of the first stops you make when you are tackling a research paper or project. Don’t miss out on all the Library has to offer you!
A short time into the semester, as you establish your new routine, you will likely remember when the Dining Commons and the HUB are serving food. However, the best way to know for sure when something is open is to check out the convenient What’s Open Now section of the dining webpage. You can also find menus on this page.
4. The IT Services Section of the HU Portal
Technology is an essential aspect of the student experience. From software to printing, the Office of IT Services has the resources you need to use your tech effectively at Huntington University. This page includes instructions or links to the various tools you will need, including access to your HU email account and the on-campus wireless network (i.e., the internet service/Wi-Fi). One point of note: You will need your HU username and password to view this page.
5. The Maintenance Request Form
Every now and then, you may need a light bulb replaced or a faucet tightened in your residence hall. When those needs arise, you should request maintenance help by filling out a maintenance request form (also called a work order). The form provides all the info our maintenance team needs to get your request taken care of as soon as possible. Although most students don’t need to send in a maintenance request very often, bookmarking the request form will prepare you in the event that you would need to contact the maintenance staff.
