Students majoring in recreation management prepare for opportunities of service in public, private and commercial, community and non-profit, therapeutic, outdoor, campus, military, employee recreation and sports ministry.

Students may also major in recreation and sports ministry, exercise and movement science, sport and exercise studies and physical education.

As a recreation management major at Huntington University, you’ll gain plenty of hands-on experience through practicum courses, internships and service learning.

At Huntington, you can minor in sociology, psychology, business or the sciences to complement your area of interest in recreation management.

Dr. Matthew Ruiz, associate professor of exercise science, has been voted as president-elect of the Christian Society of Kinesiology and Leisure Studies. This is a four-year term. He has been a member of CSKLS since 2004 and a board member-at large since 2011.
