Professor Connie Updike earned her B.S. from Manchester College in Physical Education, Health, and Recreation, M.S. in Secondary Education with a Physical Education, Health and Recreation endorsement from Indiana University and has completed post graduate work in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University.

Dr. Karen Jones has more than 20 years of experience working in the field of youth ministry. She continues to give leadership to student mission projects each year, both in the United States and internationally.

Dr. Luke S. Fetters, Huntington University, a Christian college

During his time in Asia, in addition to church planting, Dr. Luke Fetters was involved in teaching English and serving as a TESOL consultant to school districts in southern China.

Dr. Tom Bergler, Huntington University, a Christian college

Dr. Tom Bergler
Professor of Ministry & Missions

Dr. Tom Bergler served as a staff worker for University Christian Outreach for 7 years, helping to evangelize and disciple students at the University of Michigan, the University of London, and Michigan State University. He co-founded the Spring Academy, a Christian theology and ministry camp for students from state universities.

Bo Helmich, Huntington University, a Christian college

Bo Helmich
Assistant Professor of Worship Leadership

Colorado native Bo Helmich holds degrees from Stanford, Oxford, and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He is currently in the process of finishing a doctorate in Theology at Duke University. Prior to coming to Huntington, Professor Helmich served for a number of years as a local church pastor, teacher and worship leader.
