Smith examines British policy toward Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia and Kashmir in new book
Dr. Tim Smith will release his newest book, “Vietnam and the Unravelling of Empire: General Gracey in Asia 1942-1951” in the U.S. on Oct. 22. The book was published in the United Kingdom on Oct. 15.

The Huntington University history department has honored Stephanie Morin with the S.G. Whittle Johnston Memorial Award. The award goes to the junior or senior history major who submits the most outstanding work of original scholarship.
HU professor, students work on encyclopedia
Dr. Jeff Webb is no stranger to writing academic works. As one of HU’s history professors, Webb has written books, articles and professional conference papers. He is currently working on something a little bit different — “The Encyclopedia of American Myth, Legend, and Folklore.”
2014 Forester Night recognizes students, faculty
The 43rd annual Huntington University Forester Night celebrated the accomplishments of students from across campus, as well as the recognition of the Foresters of the Year, the 2014 Outstanding Scholar Award, the Impact Initiative Scholarship and the Professor of the Year. The event was held May 6.
