Huntington College awarded two honorary degrees today at the United Brethren General Conference meeting at College Park United Brethren church, held every four years. The Doctor of Divinity was awarded to two United Brethren pastors of international significance. Archie Cameron was recognized for his faithful service as pastor, evangelist, and educator as he passionately serves the Spanish-speaking people of Honduras. Lloyd Spencer was recognized for his dedicated service as pastor, church founder, and committed evangelist among the people of Jamaica.

HUNTINGTON, INDIANA— Huntington College awarded two honorary degrees today at the United Brethren General Conference meeting at College Park United Brethren church, held every four years. Huntington, Ind.— Huntington College announced today that Kevin Killen has been named cheerleader coach. Killen brings a variety of experiences to the position including having served as HC's assistant cheerleader coach last year. As a student at Huntington College, he was a four-year member of the cheerleading squad, and he has significant experience in weight and cardiovascular training.

HUNTINGTON, IN-- The Huntington College baseball team will sponsor a Summer Baseball Camp for area youth June 25-28 at the College’s Forest Glen Park. Especially designed for children ages 8 to 12, the camp will feature intensive instruction from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. each day.

HUNTINGTON, IN---The United Brethren Historical Society Banquet and Annual Meeting will be held in the Habecker Dining Commons on the campus of Huntington College at 6:00 p.m. on June 29, 2001. Members of the public are welcome to attend even if not a historical society member.

Huntington, Ind.— May 30-June 2 the Huntington College admissions staff traveled to Bethel College in Minnesota to attend the National Association of Christian College Admissions Personnel (NACCAP) annual conference. NACCAP is an organization comprised of over 150 Christian liberal arts and Bible colleges in the US and Canada with over 450 people participating in the 2001 conference.
