Nursing at Huntington University is seeking to fill a full-time 9 month
tenure track medical/surgical position to begin Fall, 2010. Initial responsibilities will include assisting with the development of a state-of-the-art simulation lab, setting up curriculum, and assisting in the organization of the nursing program. Subsequent responsibilities will include teaching both in the classroom and clinical setting, student advisement, continued curriculum overview, and participation in the functions of the University. Broadcasting - Anticipated Fall 2010 The Department of Communication at Huntington University in northeastern Indiana anticipates an opening in the Fall of 2010 for a tenure-track faculty position in broadcasting. Applicants with the Ph.D. are preferred; those with a master’s degree and experience in a relevant area will also be considered. The ideal applicant should demonstrate strong teaching aptitude and significant professional experience in the field of media. The candidate should understand traditional broadcasting but be ready to guide the program and its students into audio and video convergence platforms. The position requires teaching the equivalent of four courses each semester, which includes overseeing the campus radio and television studios.

Anticipated 2010 Huntington University anticipates an
opening for Director of Library Services. The Director of Library Services
manages all personnel and activities of the library and its subsidiary
functions providing a clear vision for the direction of the library that reflects
the mission of both Huntington University and RichLyn Library. The Director is responsible for directing
the activities of the reference/information services, and teaching library
literacy to the campus community. The
Director is a voting member of the Huntington University faculty and reports
to the Vice President and Dean of the University. Other responsibilities include: library personnel, library budget,
collections and services consistent with acceptable professional collection
development practices, and serves on committees as needed. The Director
cooperates with and, as appropriate, is a participating member of local, regional,
and state libraries and networks. It

Health Huntington
University Department of Nursing is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the
mental health/psychiatric component of their traditional undergraduate

Program The EXCEL Program at The EXCEL Program offers a bachelors
of science in accounting, business administration, human resource management,
organizational leadership and an associate of science in organizational
management. EXCEL is an accelerated adult program. Courses in
EXCEL typically meet for five weeks, once a week for four hours. The
curriculum is already developed and provided to faculty. EXCEL offers

University is seeking a person to serve in the role of Assistant Director for
Media Relations. The Assistant Director for Media Relations manages the
reputation of the University through a proactive media relations program and
related activities. The position reports to the Executive Director of
Communication. Candidates
must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, a strong desire to serve
others, and a commitment to the mission of Huntington University. The role
requires working knowledge of public relations techniques and practices and
strong journalistic skills especially interviewing and writing ability.
Photography and video skills are a plus. Proficiency with communications
software and hardware (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suit, especially
InDesign and Photoshop) is necessary. Understanding of integrated marketing
communication principles, online communication, Web content management, and
social media is also a requirement. The individual seeking this role should
have a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and a high
level of organizational skills. In addition, the ability to work as
part of a team and a commitment to delivering a high level of customer
service to campus colleagues, constituents, and representatives of the media
are essential. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, public
relations, communication, English or a related field is required. Key
areas of responsibility include writing feature stories, managing all
media relations, editing and updating web content, and producing
internal communications and publications. Additional responsibilities
include assisting with content development for University publications,
maintaining a record of HU news coverage, and supervising student
