horizon leadership program

The Horizon Leadership Program is a partnership between Huntington University and Youth for Christ with the goal of creating a more racially and ethnically diverse campus.

The Horizon Leadership Program encourages the holistic development of student leaders through “CAPSS”:

Community service
Academic success
Professional/leadership development
Spiritual development
Social involvement

Students in the program are required to maintain a 2.5 grade point average, meet with the director of the program weekly and volunteer at the Primetime Center in Fort Wayne.

Five students awarded Horizon scholarship

Five incoming freshmen have been awarded the Horizon Leadership Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. The students will join a program that is helping to create a more racially and ethnically diverse campus.

Reynolds to present annual MLK Day address

Keith Reynolds, senior pastor of Fairhaven Mennonite Church in Fort Wayne, will present the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day address on Jan. 21.
