Dr. Todd Martin earned his Ph.D. from Baylor University in 1998. His primary areas of interest are 20th century British and American literature, though he also dabbles in Science Fiction. He has presented his research at numerous academic conferences and has published articles on such varied authors as John Barth, E. E. Cummings, Clyde Edgerton, Julia Alvarez, and Edwidge Danticat.

Dr. Paul E. Michelson has been a member of the faculty since 1974. He was a three-time Fulbright fellow in Romania (1971-1973, 1982-1983, 1989-1990). His research focuses on the historiography and political development of modern Romania, the history of Twentieth Century totalitarianism, the history of Venice, and the work of C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien.

Dr. John T. Noble joined the HU community in fall 2012. He holds a BA from Taylor University, the MDiv and MA from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the AM and PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University. His dissertation investigated the literary and theological functions of Ishmael in the Abrahamic Covenant.
