There is perhaps no greater calling than that of nurturing life, and Huntington biology graduates have been answering that call for over a century. Many have taken the solid education they’ve received at Huntington University and gone on to become physicians, research scientists, pharmacists, ecologists, teachers, and the list goes on.
As a biology major at Huntington, you’ll explore the building blocks of life itself. You’ll receive rigorous training in modern biology with particular emphasis on cellular and molecular biology and its applications.
Our biology department offers several degree tracks. You may choose to earn a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree, depending on your career plans, or focus your plans on a pre-med degree. If you are an aspiring high school or middle school teacher, you may choose biology for your secondary education certification. You may also pursue a minor concentration in environmental science.
