Twenty Huntington University students-athletes have been inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society for 2013. This national college athlete honor society recognizes student-athletes who excel in athletics and academics.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 408 volleyball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes and four Foresters were included in the list of honorees.

For the second consecutive year, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Huntington University has been named a recipient of the Champions of Character Five Star Award for the 2011-12 school year.

The Forester volleyball team wrapped up its season with a 3-1 loss, 25-10, 25-20, 24-26, 26-24, to Spring Arbor University Wednesday evening. With this loss, HU finishes the year with an overall record of 4-23 and a 2-16 record in conference play.

Taylor University’s dominance at the net got the best of the Forester volleyball team Wednesday night as the Trojans won in straight sets, 25-15, 25-18, 25-15, on senior night at the Merillat Complex.

The Forester volleyball team (4-21, 2-14) continues to prove they can play with anyone in the Crossroads League but unfortunately their efforts didn’t translate into wins over the weekend as they dropped back-to-back contests to Marian University and Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

It was a quick night of volleyball as the #9-ranked Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan overpowered the Foresters at the net to blank HU 3-0, 25-9, 25-13, 25-14, in Crossroads action Wednesday night.

It was a disappointing weekend of volleyball for the Foresters who dropped a pair of Crossroads decisions to drop to 2-11 in conference play, 4-18 overall.
