Twenty Huntington University students-athletes have been inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society for 2013. This national college athlete honor society recognizes student-athletes who excel in athletics and academics.

Huntington University Bowling Coach Jim Bischoff has announced that Norwell High School standout Jordan Retherford has signed his letter of intent to bowl for Huntington University this fall.

It was history in the making this past weekend as the HU women’s bowling team competed in the program’s first ever USBC collegiate sectionals at the Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tennessee where they finished 13th out of 17 teams with 10,414 pins.

Bowling in the largest USBC Collegiate event of the season, the Forester women’s bowling team needed a strong showing in order to qualify for sectionals and Bischoff’s crew did just that to place 30th overall out of 55 teams.

This past weekend the Forester bowling teams headed to Columbus, Ohio, to compete in the Buckeye Baker Classic hosted by Ohio State University at the HPL Bowling Center where the women finished 11th and the men finished 17th.
