The National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association announced is 2013-14 Scholar All-Americans and among the list of honorees were Huntington University freshmen Emerald Leong (Honolulu, HI) and Joseph Miller (Cocoa, FL).

After 64 Baker games over two days at the Intercollegiate Team Championships Sectional Qualifier at Smyrna Bowling Center this past weekend, the Forester women finished 8th out of 16 teams while the men’s team finished 17th out of 19 teams.

USBC Collegiate has announced their sectional assignments and the Huntington University men's and women's bowling teams are both headed to Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, TN, March 14-16, for intercollegiate sectionals.

Playing in the biggest and most prestigious college tournament of the year, the Forester bowling teams had a strong showing at the Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic where the women finished 20th out of 64 teams while the men took 36th out of 78 teams.

This past weekend the Forester bowling teams road-tripped to Kentucky to compete in the Norse Collegiate Classic where the women finished 6th out of 19 varsity teams while the men placed 12th out of 18 varsity teams.

The Forester women’s bowling team had a sensational weekend at the Tier 1 Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic where they finished sixth among a field of 53 schools.

After over a month’s break, the Forester bowling teams were back in action at the Storm Hoinke Bearcat Classic where the women claimed 4th out of 23 teams and the men finished 25th of 31.

It was history in the making this past weekend as the HU men’s bowling team notched the program’s first tournament win since its inception last year. They tallied 6,983 pins to claim the 2013 Cardinal Baker Classic title.

The Forester bowling teams spent part of their Thanksgiving break competing in the National Collegiate Team Match Games (Tier I) in Illinois where the women finished 14th and the men came in 31st.

For the third consecutive year, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Huntington University has been named a recipient of the Champions of Character Five Star Award for the 2012-13 school year.
