Coordinator of New Student Services
Melissa Laraway joined the Huntington University staff in 2011 as the Coordinator of New Student Services. She oversees HU’s new student orientation and summer freshman registration programs as well as assisting students throughout the year so that students may excel, persist and graduate on time.
She holds a B.S. in biology (marine concentration) from Gordon College, an M.A. in education/college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University (APU) and she is currently working on her Ed.D. in higher education leadership at APU with an anticipated completion date of May 2014.
She came to Huntington from Anderson University (S.C.) where she served as the Director of Residence Life and was charged with the responsibility to evaluate, redesign and rebuild Anderson University’s entire residence life program. She also served as a Resident Director for four years at APU and two years at Howard Payne University.
