Huntington, Ind.— Thornhill Nature Preserve will host a free community event open to the public on Tuesday, October 1, 2002, from 7-8:30 p.m. Walt and Jan Dubbeld, from Huntington, will discuss northeast Indiana’s role in early American history.
Walt has participated in various reenactments since 1976 and has worked at several historical sites around the area. His wife, Jan, has taught earth science at Huntington North High School for the past ten years. Along with their discussion on Indiana’s history, they will provide hands-on activities and share their experiences in historical reenactment.
