PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Forester women’s soccer team (6-2) got a taste of their own medicine Tuesday afternoon when they suffered a 3-1 loss to Trinity Christian College (3-3-1).
HU struggled to get into any sort of offensive rhythm to which the Trolls took full advantage, outshooting their visitors 22-7 for the game. TCC scored three times in the first 55 minutes for a comfortable 3-0 advantage.
The Foresters finally got on the board in the 62nd minute when Lisa Underwood played a ball to the outside right to Brittany Hartman running on. Hartman crossed it right back to a sliding Underwood who knocked it past the goalie to make it 3-1 but HU would get no closer as Trinity cruised to the win.
The Trolls maintained the upper hand throughout the contest and proved to be the aggressors, tallying 16 fouls to the Foresters’ five. They logged six corner kicks to HU’s two.
Samantha Barclay and Megan Soltow shared goalie duties to combine for ten saves.
Huntington is back in action on Friday when they travel to Bluffton University Friday for a 4:00 p.m. kick-off.
