A youthful Forester
women's soccer team took the field for the first time this season and came up short against Olivet College losing 1-3.
The Comets wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as their first shot of the season found the back of the net just 1 minute, 32 seconds into the game. The Foresters quickly responded to tie things up when Claire Creasy slotted one past the keeper to the far post at the 13:04 mark.
Olivet junior Elizabeth Julian struck again ten minutes later to score her second goal of the game to put the Comets up 2-1. Both teams held each other in check over the next 55 minutes until Olivet put the game out of reach on a blast from 35 yards out to go up 3-1.
Olivet finished the game with a 24-14 advantage in shots. HU keeper Caitlin Adams recorded nine saves on the day.
