The exercise science major said, “I chose Huntington because as it came down to the last two schools to decide between, I looked at the pros and cons of each school and decided that I like the atmosphere and team chemistry better at Huntington. I felt that I will have more opportunities at Huntington to grow both personally and spiritually. I’m really excited to be able to play soccer at the college level and to make new friends.”

“I’m really excited Catelyn picked Huntington,” noted Coach Burgher. “Her personality really fits well with the current team and she is going to add a lot. She has the physical ability to compete for multiple positions all over the field and is determined to do just that. I’m excited to get her here in August!”

Catelyn is the daughter of Mark and Melissa Mefferd of Convoy, Ohio.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
