The Forester women's soccer
team took on a pesky Cincinnati Christian squad and came out on top 5-2 to notch their third win of the season.
After a slow start, Brittany Hartman found the back of the net in the 22nd minute of play to put HU on top 1-0 but the Eagles responded 60 seconds later to knot the score 1-1. Kate Bienz then scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Brittany Carlson at the 34:40 mark to give the Foresters a 2-1 lead at intermission.
After the Eagles tied things up within the first five minutes of the second half, Carlson sparked HU when she volleyed one into the lower corner of the net with 53:10 on the clock. The Foresters came alive to score two more goals within minutes of each other to put the game out of reach. Sam Barclay scored HU's fourth goal and Claire Creasy finished things up with the final goal of the night at the 63:44 mark.
The Foresters (3-1) face Trinity Christian College at noon on Saturday.
