Berrien Springs, Mich. - The Foresters' five-game win streak came to an end Thursday night against Andrews University when the game ended in a 2-2 deadlock after two extra periods.
As has been the case over the last several games, HU dominated possession for most of the contest. They finished with 30 shots on frame but by night's end, had only managed to find the back of the net twice. Claire Creasy scored her first goal of the season and Amy Snider knocked in her second of the year.
"Everyone on our side is very disappointed about the result from today's game," said Coach Burgher. "Andrews came in wanting to win and we can in thinking we had already won. Our mental preparation was not good, As the coach I am to blame for our team not being mentally ready for this game, it starts with me and filters down. This team has something to prove on Saturday before we start conference, I hope we use this game as motivation."
Huntington (5-2-1) is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Ohio to take on Cincinnati Christian University.
