After winning three straight, the women Forester soccer
team's streak came to an end as they dropped a 3-0 decision to Trinity Christian College on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Showing why they're among the NAIA's elite in women's soccer, the Trolls wasted no time taking an early lead that wouldn't be challenged. They scored back-to-back goals in the tenth minute of play and added one more at the 27:18 mark to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
While the Foresters weren't able to make good on any of their five first half shots on goal, they showed plenty of grit by shutting down the Trolls offense in the second half. Not only did they hold Trinity Christian scoreless, the Foresters did not allow a single shot in the final 45 minutes of play.
With this loss, the Foresters drop to 3-2. They host Indiana Institute of Technology on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
