Decatur, Ala. -The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that 485 women’s soccer student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Among the list of honorees were five HU women's soccer players:
Senior Shelly Bradbury (Houghton, N.Y., Houghton Academy)
Junior Randee Bushnell (Lansing, Mich., Lansing Christian)
Junior Michelle Hawthorne (Jackson, Mich., Jackson Christian)
Senior Rachel Mathews (Spring Arbor, Mich., Western)
Senior Heidi Zeman (Beavercreek, Ohio, Dayton Christian)
Student-athletes are nominated by their institution’s head coach and must be at least a junior in academic standing and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
