The Foresters' losing streak moved to six in a row with their 79-71 loss to Taylor University. During the skid, HC has continued to find ways to shoot itself in the foot. This time the Foresters could not keep the Trojans off the boards giving up 27 offensive rebounds in the contest. After allowing Taylor a 12-2 run to start the game, the Foresters seemed to settle down on both ends of the floor and pulled to within 29-26 at the half. HC moved to within one twice in the early minutes of the second half, but Taylor responded with a 10-2 run to end the Foresters' threat. HC continued to battle, but each time the Foresters seemed to be gaining the momentum, an untimely turnover or a Taylor putback would swing it the other way. Taylor's Melanie Brumbaugh took game-high honors in scoring and rebounding with her 18 points and 12 boards. Three Foresters scored in double figures with Amy Berry hitting for 16, Jamie Grogg 15, and Betsey Bean 12. With the loss, the women fall to 3-7 on the season and 0-3 in the MCC.
