MARION, Ind. - It was a quick night of volleyball as the #9-ranked Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan overpowered the Foresters at the net to blank HU 3-0, 25-9, 25-13, 25-14, in Crossroads action Wednesday night.
The Wildcats lived true to their national ranking as they outhit HU 42-20 and finished the night with a .438 hitting percentage while forcing HU into more hitting errors than kills. Their effectiveness at the net was also apparent as they hit around the block, holding their visitors to zero blocks for the match.
Melissa Grossman proved to be HU’s bright spot. She tallied a team-high eight kills and finished with a .313 hitting percentage. Katie Bowers finished with 11 digs while Jensen Carnahan recorded 15 assists.
The Foresters (4-19, 2-12) finish the week with two home matches, Marian on Friday and Mount Vernon on Saturday.
