Huntington, Ind. - It wasn’t exactly how the Forester volleyball team wanted to wrap up their season as they dropped three straight sets to the visiting Cougars of Spring Arbor University on Wednesday night, 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.
The difference in the match came at the net and from the serving line where the Cougars finished with nine team blocks compared to HU’s three. Spring Arbor tallied seven serving aces to only two serving errors while the Foresters recorded four aces and four errors.
Heather Medich had a strong showing at the net, finishing with a match-high 12 kills and a .435 hitting percentage. Melissa Grossman and Brittany Rooze chipped in six kills apiece. Rooze also added three aces and eight digs.
With this loss, Huntington closes the books on another season with an 8-23 overall record, 1-17 in conference play.
