Huntington, Ind. - Hosting a three-way over the weekend, the HU volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over Purdue University North Central before dropping a 3-1 decision to Davenport University to move to 4-13 on the season.
Against the Panthers, the Foresters dominated play, sweeping them in straight sets, 25-15, 25-18, 25-13. Heather Medich and Brittany Rooze each tallied seven kills to lead a balance attack. Medich also tallied a team-high ten digs. Rebekah Brown finished with six kills, six digs, four blocks and three aces for an all around solid performance while Jensen Carnahan handed out 25 assists in the winning effort.
Up against Davenport in their second match on Saturday, the Foresters remained competitive but came up short, losing in four, 19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 14-25. Pacing Huntington was Medich who recorded a team-high 13 kills, 12 digs and four blocks. Medich and Brown finished with seven and six kills respectively. Jensen dished out 29 assists.
HU takes the court again on Tuesday when they travel to Winona Lake for an MCC battle with Grace College at 7:00 p.m.
