Marian, Ind. - Three Foresters were among the hundreds of track and field athletes competing at the 2011 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Marion, Indiana that began earlier this week.
Joseph Herber, a junior from Fremont, Indiana (Fremont High School), made his third appearance on the national stage in the 10,000 meters and finished 37th with a time of 32:50.65.
In her debut at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, freshman Cendall Ogle from Warsaw, Indiana (Warsaw High School), turned in a time of 12:10.93 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase trials to finish 29th.
Also running for the first time at Nationals was senior Molly Shirey from Mooreland, Indiana. She toed the line this morning at 6:00 a.m. to run the marathon and finished in 3:21:20.30 to grab 29th place.
With the books closed on Forester athletics for the year, HU was presented at eight different national tournaments which included men's and women's cross country, golf, men's tennis, baseball, men's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field.
