Troyer headed to Huntington

Huntington, Ind. - Huntington University softball coach Doug Gower announced that Goshen High School senior shortstop, Kaitlyn Troyer, has signed her national letter of intent to continue her softball career at Huntington University next fall.

Troyer, heading into her final season with the Redskins, has plenty to look forward to after helping her team to a 26-5 record last year and a share of the conference title. As a junior captain, she had a solid year at the plate hitting .411. She received several honors which included most improved player and defensive player of the year. She was also an NLC All-Conference pick.

Troyer has also excelled in the classroom. In addition to being an honor student at Goshen High School, she is a three-time Scholar Athlete Award recipient.

She is the daughter of Lamar and Crystal Troyer of Goshen, Indiana.
