Bethel College swept the six singles matches on their way to the 8-1 win over Huntington. The Foresters' lone win of the match came at #3 doubles where Mitchell McDonald and Jason Stump came from 7-2 down, including numerous match points, to pull out the 9-7 win. There were several close matches with Stump and Brian Lambright each falling in three sets.
“I am really proud of Mitch and Jason,” said Coach Turner. “It was one of the best comebacks ever by a Forester team, but as a team, we just have to win the close ones. We have dropped too many three-setters this season.”
The loss drops the men to 3-4 on the season and 2-4 in the MCC.
