The Huntington University
men’s soccer team gave #23 Indiana Tech all they could handle as the Warriors squeaked by the Foresters 1-0 to open the 2010 season.
Despite only a handful of players logging significant minutes last year, the young Foresters showed 90 minutes of grit and determination on both ends of the field to keep within striking distance. After a scoreless first half, Tech finally netted what would prove to be the only goal of the game in the 54th minute of play.
The Warriors outshot the Foresters 21-14. Chris Fox went the distance in goal with seven saves. The Foresters are back in action on Thursday in their home opener against Madonna University.
