Moody takes down Foresters

Finishing up regular season play with a trip to Chicago, the Forester men's soccer team came up short, losing to Moody Bible Institute 3-1.

HU wasted no time making their presence known when Jake Essig set up Derek Ressler who beat his defender to slot one past the goalie just three minutes into the contest. But the Foresters' lead was short-lived as Moody answered just fifteen minutes later. They scored twice in a three-minute span off two restarts to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Looking for the equalizer, Huntington's attack-minded approach left the back line susceptible as Moody countered with a third goal in the final minutes of play to cruise to the 3-1 win.

Moody held a slight 8-7 edge in shots on goal. HU keeper Chris Fox finished with five saves. The Foresters are 3-13-2. Their postseason fate depends on the outcome of the Saint Francis/Grace matchup tonight.
