Mattingly named Forester Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of September 17–23, 2012. Men’s soccer junior Drew Mattingly earned the honor for his outstanding efforts during the week’s competitions.

Mattingly, a Floyd Knobs, Indiana native (Christian Academy of Indiana), came up with some incredible saves last week to guide the Foresters to two shutout wins last week. He finished the week with 15 saves.

He has logged four clean sheets in the last five matches to help lead his squad to a 5-1-2 record this season.

The Foresters face Holy Cross College on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. before diving into league play on Saturday. 
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 46 NAIA All-America honors and 202 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
