In a tough conference battle Indiana Wesleyan scored early and held off the Foresters for the 1-0 victory.
The Wildcats took it to the Foresters the first 30 minutes of the contest, recording the only score of the afternoon at the 17:57 mark. HU came out much more aggressive in the second half but couldn't convert any of its scoring opportunities into points on the board.
Wesleyan outshot the Foresters 19-11. HU keeper Kevin Keske recorded seven saves on the day.
"The second half was much better," said Coach Lawson. "We generated a lot more opportunities in the second half. Now we just need to play a full 90 minutes and find a way to put the ball in the back of the net."
With the loss, the Foresters drop to 8-3 on the season, 0-2 in conference play. The Foresters host Goshen on Wednesday.
