In order to guarantee a spot in postseason play, the Forester men's soccer team was in a must win situation against Marian University but the Knights proved to be the spoiler as they outlasted HU 1-0.

In an evenly played match it was the Knights who caught a break in the 70th minutes of play when Renaud Sicard found the back of the net for the game-winner. The Foresters continued to battle and generated several scoring opportunities but MU keeper James Dulhanty came up with key saves to squelch HU's hopes of sending the game to overtime.

The Foresters were outshot 13-8. HU keeper Drew Mattingly recorded two saves before Chris Fox came in for relief to finish with four saves. HU (3-12-2, 1-6-1) travels to Moody Bible Institute on Saturday for a 1:00 kick-off.
